6 O’clock Clementine Sour Cocktail
Some say that back in the day, a clementine at the bottom of a stocking was a symbol of giving. Others say clementines were such a luxury during the Great Depression that they were there as a rare sweet treat.
This cocktail reflects all of the above. This is a sharp refreshing gin sour with zingy clementine, lemon and winter spiced syrup.
Perfect for everyone, and for keeping the festive cheer alive.
Ingredients
- 50ml 6 O’clock Gin
- 10ml Cointreau
- 25ml clementine juice or purée
- 25ml fresh lemon juice
- 25ml winter spice syrup (sugar syrup infused with star anise, cinnamon and cloves)
- 1 egg white
Method
1: Add all the ingredients into the shaker.
2: Then add the egg white. Shake without ice to whisk the egg white with the cocktail. This will give it a beautiful frothy texture.
Then shake with ice and double strain into a coupe glass.
