Brunel Serves – The Spice Road
As summer becomes autumn and the nights begin to draw in, it’s time to look to some more warming flavours to prepare you for the winter months ahead. Our Brunel Edition, with its exotic mix of aromatic botanicals is the perfect choice to create some delicious gin based cocktails to reflect the changing season. Playing on the warming cassia and cubeb pepper notes, the Spice Road is a simple cocktail to make, but one which we’re sure you’ll find wonderfully smooth and moreish!
The Spice Road
Ingredients:
- 40ml Brunel Edition
- 20ml Bramley & Gage Sweet Vermouth
- 10ml Ginger Syrup *
- 2 Dashes Orange Bitters
Method:
- Stir the ingredients over ice and then strain into a ‘rocks’ or ‘old fashioned’ glass that you have filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with fresh or preserved stem ginger.
* You can find preserved stem ginger in most supermarkets or healthfood stores. It’s a great snack, and the syrup that it comes in is perfect for using in this cocktail or pouring over ice cream!
