Why We’re Interested in YOU …
You are friendly, fun, open & unflappable; genuinely flexible enough to cope with the changing daily demands in a busy distillery & across the wider business. You’re passionate & dedicated, potentially with an interest in artisan, premium spirits: how they’re made, how they taste & how you can use them. You’re highly PC literate & have great organisational skills, a positive can-do attitude & rigorous attention to detail. Experience in customer service or sales administration, with working knowledge of order processing, CRM systems or online platforms would be beneficial. You love working in a team, but you’re self-motivated with plenty of initiative & resilience; you have a hard-working ethic that permits you to have fun. You have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C / 4 or above including English Language & Maths.
What the Job Entails …
Operating as a vital support function within the commercial teams, the role is challenging & varied; no two days are the same. Adaptability is key, and responsibilities may change in line with the demands of the business. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Sharing responsibility for general housekeeping & office management; potential opening & locking up of the premises
- Manning reception & the distillery shop, to include financial transactions
- Answering the phone & monitoring the sales inbox; carrying out appropriate actions
- Assisting with customer queries & customer complaint handling
- Processing sales orders, to include customer-specific online portals, from notification to invoice
- Processing sample requests & internal stock requirements
- Maintaining sales documentation & contributing to the continuous improvement of administrative processes
- Supporting the sales team with customer onboarding & documentation
- Creating & maintaining customer data within CRM database; producing updates and reports as required
- Supporting the sales team with outgoing customer calls, for existing & new customers, to include proactive sales calls
- Researching new customer leads
- Supporting the marketing team with internal, trade & consumer communications, including direct mail & social media
- Supporting the marketing team with the management of experience bookings & vouchers, & related third-party platforms
Remuneration …
This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Distillery in Thornbury. Working office hours, Monday to Friday; we are open to some flexibility regarding start time. The salary is competitive in the marketplace & we offer a generous company pension, employee discount plus a regular supply of 6 O’clock Gin! We have free on-site parking & we’re enrolled in the Cycle to Work scheme.
